　　From 1910 to 1913, women suffragists in the United States organized annual parades — activity traditionally conducted by men to proclaim solidarity in some cause — not only as a public expression of suffragist solidarity but also a conscious transgression of the rules of social order : women’s very presence in the streets challenged traditional notions of femininity and restrictions on women’s conduct.

　　A 错。他们不是反对游行，是反对女人游行。frown on / upon 反对，不赞同，不许可。

　　B 错。ulterior 隐秘的，别有用心的。没什么隐秘的，就是不愿意女人有投票权呗，明摆着的事。

　　C 未知信息。举个类比，

　　比如说，也许社会上多数人不认同同性婚姻，但是他们未必会上街组织一个反对同性婚姻的游行，或在各种媒体发声反对，因为这事说到底不直接关系他们的根本利益，不认同，但也没有强烈的动机去反对。所以，core of the organized opposition 的说法，既属于未知信息，也未必成立。
