　　One of the principal themes of Walzer's critique of liberal capitalism is that it is insufficiently egalitarian.

　　W 对自由资本主义的批判的一个贯穿始终的重要主题，就是它不够平等。

　　Walzer's case against the economic inequality generated by capitalism and in favor of "a radical redistribution of wealth" is presented in a widely cited essay entitled "In Defense of Equality."

　　The most striking feature of Walzer's critique is that, far from rejecting the principle of reward according to merit, Walzer insists on its validity.

　　以上内容是无争议的，很多词典都有类似的解释，下面就是我个人的解读了。

　　作者为什么说赚钱能力和 green thumb 有类似的地方?

　　因为这两种能力跟其他能力相比，都有点模糊，甚至有点神秘。

　　所谓模糊。一个人力气比你大，非常直观，拔河，握力计，掰手腕，都能快速得出判断结果。但赚钱这事往往很复杂，一个销售这个月多赚了 3 倍薪水，是因为他这个月格外努力吗?是因为商品突然变得紧俏了吗(想想 2017 年上半年的雄安房市)?是碰巧有一个土豪老板多次光顾他吗?很难讲到底是因为什么，讲不清原因的结果，使能力强的结论模糊。

　　所谓神秘。你要是也养花你就明白，同样是按着淘宝网页上的指示浇水施肥，有的人就养活了一种花，你就没养活，而你问那个养花养的很好的人，有什么心得，她很可能说，我也不知道啊，就是照着做啊。赚钱更是如此，你去问问大老板为什么赚那么多钱，他可能心里明白啊，就是贿赂啊，垄断啊，很简单的可惜他不能讲出来。说不出和不能说，显得神秘。

　　你知道美国的独立住房，几乎家家有个不小的院子，所以植物种的好不好，这种模糊又神秘的能力，只能从结果去倒推的能力，就成了作者用来类比赚钱能力的一个例子。它们也许算得上一种能力，但显然被赋予了太高的权重。

　　你也可以认为我在纯瞎说，基本上确实是瞎说。)

　　A 像敏感这样的品质，在跟其他品质一起决定一个人应得多少的时候，是什么样的比重。显然文段没说具体比较是什么样的策略。

　　B 句 7 告诉我们，赚钱的能力在资本主义被高估了。不选。

　　C 根据 W 的理论，钱买不到的社会利益是什么。文段只说资本主义钱能买到很多别的社会利益，比如他人的尊敬，钱买不到的没说。
