　　When I was 17, I read a quote that went somethinglike: 'If you live each day as if it was your last,someday you'll most certainly be right.' It made animpression on me, and since then, for the past 33years, I have looked in the mirror every morning andasked myself: 'If today were the last day of my life,would I want to do what I am about to do today?'And whenever the answer has been 'no' for toomany days in a row, I know I need to changesomething.

　　1、我十七岁时，读到了一句格言，如果你把每天都当作生命中最后一天，总有一天你会发现你是正确的。从那时起，我每天早晨对着镜子问自己，如果今天是你生命中最后一，你愿意做什么，为什么这是今天要做的。

　　It's really hard to design products by focus groups. A lot of times, people don't know what theywant until you show it to them.

　　I want to put a ding in the universe.

　　Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to dowhat you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. Ifyou haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'llknow when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as theyears roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle.

　　I'm convinced that about half of what separates successful entrepreneurs from the non-successful ones is pure perseverance.

　　Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something,they feel a little guilty because they didn't really do it, they just saw something. It seemedobvious to them after a while.

　　Getting fired from Apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. Theheaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again. It freedme to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.

　　Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinkingyou have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow yourheart.

　　Quality is more important than quantity. One home run is much better than two doubles.

　　Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren't used to an environment where excellence isexpected.

　　'I think if you do something and it turns out pretty good, then you should go do somethingelse wonderful, not dwell on it for too long. Just figure out what's next.'

　　You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. Soyou have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust insomething — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down,and it has made all the difference in my life.

　　12、真正对我有意义的事，就是在晚上睡觉前说上一句：“我已经做了一些非常棒的事”，这才是我最在乎的。

　　Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn't matter to me ... Going to bed at night sayingwe've done something wonderful ... that's what matters to me.

　　13、你无法在展望未来时串联点滴，你只能在回顾过去时将其升华。所以你要相信，这些点滴片段会在未来以某种方式串联起来。你要相信某种东西——直觉也好，命运也好，生命也好，或者因缘甚至是其他一切。这种方法从来没有让我失望，在我的生活中，这种意念造就了我的与众不同。

　　I'm as proud of many of the things we haven't done as the things we have done. Innovation issaying no to a thousand things.
